Our Story - June 2005

We left the living room behind empty, because when we are in Holland, the room will be tiled. After two weeks we receive some pictures by email - doesn't it look great!
Early June we can see the result ourselves when we have along week end. But there will be another, unexpected surprise!
We left early on Thursday. Around noon we see the roof, the caravan, the garden. But there is somebody walking in our garden...

It's my father who arrived thirty minutes before - by bike. Since his early retirement he frequently took his bike to make trips to the farthest corners: from Seville in Spain to North Cape. Now he's with us in Allier.

Of course he is put to work.

A full trailer

Our trailer was again full: cabinets for the kitchen, a cupboard, chairs, shutters, etc. My father takes care of the shutters.

It's raining in Holland, but here we have plenty of sunshine. We are happy that we brought a big parasol.

But inside it's really cool. The tiles are even more beautiful than on the photos. Each time we walk over them we are enthusiastic.

We also take care of the remaining walls of the  kitchen. After they have been painted we have this result.

The living room also starts to look like one - that is, when you ignore the walls.

The long weekend is over and we are satisfied with what we have achieved.
